  • Attention, Apple!

    Attention, Apple!

    Hey Apple Team,

Please, here are the super-frustrating woes iOS / iPadOS musicians are currently experiencing due to your haphazard and silly design decisions -

Headphone Jack - your minimalism approach doesn't make sense in some cases. Like one mouse button for multiple functions, one jack for multiple functions... Separate tasks should be performed by separate modules rather than a single module performing multiple tasks - that would be like writing a single suboptimal...

Solutions for missing headphone jack on iPad

Apple removed the headphone jack from its phones and tablets (so they could sell more AirPods!) with no solution to connect headphones and charger simultaneously. Ideally, they should have offered a native Apple hub before discontinuing the jack. Apple’s $9 adaptor does not allow to charge the iPad simultaneously. This resulted in 3rd party hubs in the market (with boastful claims) that don’t function as expected or break in a couple of months. Here are a few options to alleviate the problem...

iPhone 6s performance on iOS 13

A few years ago, when I upgraded my iPhone 4 to iOS 7, it bricked (became slow but still usable).

After doing some extensive research, I upgraded my iPhone 6s to iOS 13 this month and the performance is better and smoother on iOS 13. This is the iPhone 6s model that I purchased the same day it was launched. I was concerned about not bricking my iPhone due to my prior bad experience with iPhone 4 upgrade but this upgrade went really well....

iPad Air 2 performance on iOS / iPadOS 13

A few years ago, when I upgraded my iPad mini 1 to iOS 8, it bricked (became slow but still usable). This is the first generation of iPad mini that I purchased the same day it was launched.

iPad Air 2 is the oldest model of iPad that iPadOS 13 supports and so, I wanted to proceed with extreme caution. After doing some extensive research, I upgraded my Air 2 to iPadOS 13 this month and the performance is better and smoother on iPadOS...
